Brief Introduction: Shawn Li has over ten years of experience in the field of intellectual property within the pharmaceutical industry and holds a qualification certificate as a Chinese patent agent. He previously served as a patent examiner at China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and graduated with a master’s degree in chemistry from Soochow University.

Work Experience: Prior to joining SRBM, Shawn Li worked as an IP Manager at a biotech company, where he conducted comprehensive intellectual property management for small molecules, peptides, and protein drug pipelines, including project initiation analysis, competitive intelligence analysis, patent strategies, patentability analysis, and freedom-to-operate analysis. Shawn Li assisted the company in successfully obtaining multiple patents in China, the United States, Europe, Japan, and other countries and regions. Shawn also worked as a Patent Examiner at the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), where he was responsible for the substantive examination of patents in fields such as ADC, delivery vector and formulations.
