Brief Introduction: Brian Morrill is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with nearly three decades experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. He has held pivotal leadership roles in global patent management at several world-renowned pharmaceutical companies, demonstrating exceptional strategic planning and team leadership capabilities throughout his career.

Work Experience: Brian joins SRBM from Ginkgo Bioworks, a leading company in synthetic biology, where he served as Senior IP Counsel. Brian was instrumental in the development of IP strategies for platform technologies and took a lead role in the negotiation of major collaborative research programs. Prior to that Brian spent more than ten years in roles of increasing responsibility at Sanofi, including the key leadership positions Head of Patents, Sanofi Oncology and Head of Synthetic Molecule Patents, US. Prior to Sanofi Brian held senior IP positions at Eisai Research Institute and at Ipsen, building comprehensive expertise across all aspects of patent practice, enforcement, licensing and portfolio management.
